"Project" for the Weekend-->Mixing Colours

Children find this to be a fun way of learning and remembering the colour mixes. You can even use this opportunity to use flash cards so they can learn to spell the colours.

Step 1

All you need is a tray, a few transparent cupswater colours and some water. You could use food colouring however they may stain your floors of furniture. Start with the 3 primary colours – redyellow and blue. Let your child put the water colours in water and mix it.

Step 2

Teach them how to mix the colours to get the secondary colours. Let your child do the mixing. For example:

Blue + Yellow = Green

Blue + Red = Purple

Yellow + Red = Orange

Step 3

Once you are done with the basics, you can add on for example; white and start mixing the colours again.

You can also experiment with paint as well. It is so much better than just telling your child the colour mixes verbally. Let them have the experience first-hand! It’s so much fun and they learn so much faster.

Simple & fun colour mixing project can be easily carried out at home. Let's try out on this weekend!

Have a good weekend everyone! *in advance ^_^
